DIY Installation Tips
DIY Installation Tips
1. Plan & Mark It Out
Measure your wall length and height. Mark where each post will go — sleepers typically sit between posts at 1800mm spacing.
2. Dig Post Holes
For strength and stability, dig your holes at least 600mm deep (deeper for taller walls). Use a string line to keep everything aligned.
3. Set Your Steel Posts
Position your galvanised steel posts (End Post, Centre Post, or Corner Post). Check they’re perfectly level and plumb. Pour concrete or post mix into the holes and allow it to set.
4. Drop in Your Sleepers
Once posts are set, slide your concrete sleepers between the post channels. Ensure sleepers are level and stacked flush.
5. Backfill & Drainage
Use gravel or blue metal behind the wall to promote drainage and prevent pressure build-up. Backfill with soil once everything is locked in and level.
