DIY Installation Tips

1. Plan & Mark Your Post Layout
Measure the total length and height of your wall. Mark out post locations at standard sleeper lengths — typically 1800mm spacing between posts. Identify where you’ll need End Posts, Centre Posts, and Corner Posts based on your wall design.

2. Dig Accurate Post Holes
Dig holes to a minimum depth of 600mm, depending on the height of the wall and local soil conditions. For taller or engineered walls, deeper footings may be required. Use a string line and spirit level to maintain straight alignment and consistent height.

3. Position & Set the Posts
Place your galvanised steel posts (End, Centre, or Corner) into the holes. Ensure each post is level and plumb before setting. Pour in concrete or rapid set post mix and allow time to cure. Double-check alignment as the mix sets.

4. Allow Concrete to Set Properly
Let the concrete cure fully — typically 24 hours — before inserting any sleepers. This ensures your posts stay locked in and won’t shift under load.

5. Slide in Sleepers & Finalise Alignment
Once posts are firmly set, slide your concrete sleepers into place between the post channels. Check for level and flush alignment as you stack. Then you can proceed with backfilling and drainage as required.
